My Teaching Style

I’ve been tutoring privately for 25 years and have loved every minute of it. Being with kids when they experience that "a-ha!" moment and serving as a supportive presence is very meaningful work. To ensure students receive a personalized tutoring experience, I design many of my own materials. Enrichment tutoring is a favorite of mine. With years of experience working with students who are in unusual school situations, I also cover home-schooling programs and trauma-based learning. Recently I received training in Orton-Gillingham for struggling readers, and the CELTA program for teaching English as a Second Language.
